Week Two‏

Dear Family,

Its week two and i'm still alive! This week has been pretty good. We're on a normal schedule now(which i'll send you later) so i'm getting into the groove of things. During this first week i've seen so many people i know and i even have one of the guys from the BYU dorms in the room next to me. Tuesday Elder Bednar came and spoke to us and talked abou feeling the spirit. He said he gets asked how to recognize its promptings alot so he decided to talk about that. He said, "stop worrying about it!" He said that as long as we are good boys and girls, we honor our covenants, we keep the commandments, and work hard, our steps would be guided and our utterances would be inspired. He also left an apostolic blessing on us at the end. Itwas weird to hear him make jokes and tell stories because he always seemed so serious to me but it was great. The homesickness is still making things tough but i've been doing ok. The language is getting better but i'm still struggling. Yester day we had to go and pretend to do street contacts in portuguese in the TRC...it didn't go well. But then we taught a lesson in english after that that went well. My district is awesome! Theres Elder Muir from Shelly idaho. He reminds me alot of Will and we get along really well. His companion is Elder Davidson. He's from Bear Lake and has a kind of southern accent but he's hilarious. Elder Rossel is from California andended up getting sick the first week. His companion is Elder Isaacson from Utah who's a mechanic. I play basketball with him and Rossel during Gym. Elder Taut is from Elkridge Utah and is a goofy kid. We call him our morale because he always makes us laugh. Elder Rich is his companion. He's from LA and is learing portuguese really fast. You'll get pictures in a while. We went to the temple today and it was awesome! I cant wait for next week. I haven't bought a shoulder bag yet because i'm planning on using the money they give us here in the MTC for that. I also want you guys to send me stuff before i go to Portugal but i'll wait till later so you only have to send one package. Tell everyone i miss them (including Brady and Mia!). And tell Mike that he cant get married until i get back from my mission. I love you guys!
